Ajo, without the collector

Save with people you trust, in turns. A contract on NEAR holds the pot and pays each person on their day, so nobody can run with the money, not even us.

$100to turn 3 this week4 of 5 have paid

Five members, $20 a week each. Each week one of them receives the $100 pot.

A circle in four steps

  1. Start a circle and send the link

Choose the amount, how many people and how often. Share the invite link on WhatsApp. Only people with the link can see or join the circle.

  2. Everyone pays from where their money is

Send USDT or USDC from your exchange or wallet on BNB Chain, Solana, Tron, TON, Base and more. It arrives as USDT, usually within a couple of minutes.

  3. The pot pays out by itself

When the last person pays, the contract sends the whole pot to whoever's turn it is. Nobody has to hold it or remember to pass it on.

  4. Need it sooner? Swap turns

Put your turn up for sale, or buy an earlier turn from someone who can wait. You agree a price and the contract swaps your places.

When someone doesn't pay

Their deposit covers it

Everyone puts down one contribution when they join. If someone misses a round, it comes out of their deposit and the pot still pays in full. Unused deposits come back when the circle ends.

Everyone in the circle sees it

Missed payments are recorded on chain against the seat that missed them, so the whole circle knows who paid and who didn't. No chasing, no arguments about who said what.

What other people can see

Payments on a blockchain are public. Contri keeps who you are out of them.

Your circle's nameOnly people with the invite link. It is encrypted on your phone before it is saved.
Your other circlesNobody. Each circle uses its own account, made from your passkey, and nothing on chain connects them.
Who paid this roundYour circle, as it always has in ajo. Outside it, only an account number that leads nowhere.

Questions

Who holds the money?

No person. Contributions go to a contract on NEAR, a program whose rules anyone can read. It only pays a pot to the member whose turn it is, and only returns deposits to the members who made them. Our team can't move it.

What does it cost?

Contri takes no fee. Moving money in and out goes through NEAR Intents, which shows its network fee before you send, usually a few cents on BNB Chain or Solana. Contri pays the NEAR transaction fees for every payment you make in a circle.

What if Contri disappears?

The contract keeps running without us. Anyone can trigger a payout once a round's deadline has passed, and your money is held in NEAR Intents under a key only your passkey can produce.

What if I lose my phone?

Sign in on a new phone with the same passkey. Passkeys are synced by Google Password Manager and iCloud Keychain, and every circle account comes back from it.

Is this a bank or an investment?

No. Contri doesn't lend, pay interest or invest your money. It is software that runs a savings circle among people who already trust each other.
